1338 Boylston St, Boston, Ma, 02215

This entire stretch of Boylston needs barricades and/or flex posts to keep cars out of the bike lanes. Literally every time I come through here, there are cars parked in the bike lanes. Very unsafe. Bikers’ lives are in danger when they have to swerve out into traffic to go around a car blocking the bike lane.

    CLOSED #101006611934

Case Noted. Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this matter. The City of Boston is currently working to replace and restore bike lane protection infrastructure throughout the city via a multitude of programs. To learn more about these operations, please view our better buffer project webpage by way of this link: https://www.boston.gov/departments/transportation/better-buffers.

12 Mapleton St, Brighton, Ma, 02135

Hello! I’m not sure if this is where I can direct my question but I’m looking to replace my trash bin. The city replaces recycling bins but I didn’t know about trash. If not, where do we purchase them? Thank you.

    CLOSED #101006611924

Case Resolved. per City of Boston's trash/recycling guide https://www.boston.gov/departments/public-works/trash Residents are responsible for purchasing their own trash containers and replacing damaged containers. Containers must meet City requirements. If you use a barrel that’s bigger than 32 gallons, there must be a grab bar on the barrel. All trash must fit inside the barrels and have a lid. Having an overflowing barrel or unkempt trash can result in a code enforcement violation. If trash bags are being used, they should be 2 ply or .9 millimeter or greater plastic material Kitchen bags, grocery bags, or cardboard boxes can not be used as trash bags.
